The 2009 Bricktown Blaze 5k Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk
The 6th annual run benefitting Limbs for Life Foundation will again end near home plate on the field of AT&T Bricktown Ballpark prior to the May 2 Oklahoma City RedHawks game against the New Orleans Zephyrs. The Bricktown Blaze is sanctioned and certified by USA Track and Field. It will start at the corner of Reno Ave. and Joe Carter Dr. in the Bricktown district of Oklahoma City. The Blaze is part of the OKC and Edmond Running Club point systems.
Race Schedule
May 2, 2009
3:30 p.m.: Race-day registration and gift bag pick-up begins.
5:30 p.m.: Start of race
7:05 p.m.: Oklahoma City RedHawks vs. New Orleans Zephyrs baseball game
Registration Information
- Registration includes a Blaze T-shirt, one free ticket to the RedHawks game following the race, water, sports drinks and fruit.
- Two kids under 15 can participate per paid adult. However, only one T-shirt and one baseball ticket is provided per paid adult.
- Additional T-shirts will be available for purchase for $5 the day of the race. All pre-registered runners will receive a free T-shirt. T-shirts are available while supplies last for race-day registrants.
- Additional baseball tickets will be available for purchase for a group rate the day of the race.
- Entry fee is $20 in advance, $25 the day of the race and $15 for groups of 25 or more. If you want to purchase a group, please call Limbs for Life at 405.843.5174 by May 1.
- As always, amputees run and walk for free.
- Awards will be given for first, second and third place in male and female divisions, as well as by age group.
